Skate and Surf Film Festival SSFF è una rassegna cinematografica che punta i riflettori sulla scena surf e skate internazionale. Da quattro anni appassiona il pubblico attraverso diverse attività sportive, contest e workshop, promuove cultura attraverso pellicole inedite, documentari, mostre e tanta musica.
Il SSFF è passato da 9000 persone del primo anno a 25.000 persone della scorsa edizione, diventando negli anni un'istituzione ed un atteso appuntamento per un pubblico di giovani e diversamente giovani, appassionati, curiosi e addetti ai lavori.
SSFF giunto alla sua quarta edizione si sarebbe dovuto svolgere da Base Milano il 12-13-14 giugno 2020.
L’ideatore Luca Merli e lo staff hanno deciso di non gettare la spugna, grazie anche al fondamentale supporto del major sponsor Vans che ha continuato a credere nel progetto e che ha dato modo a SSFF di proseguire con la nuova versione virtuale,
mantenendo il concept e riadattandolo a questo triste e difficile periodo.
In pochi giorni è ri-nato quindi il V-SSFF.
V come VIRTUALE, perchè ora più che mai è importante esserci, ma in modo completamente diverso, rispettando il distanziamento sociale, senza perdersi d'animo, supportando l'intera comunità , per dare un messaggio positivo al pubblico, per sostenere ed intrattenere le persone durante il lockdown e per continuare a mantenere attivo e produttivo il lavoro di tutti, cambiandone solamente le modalità di attuazione.
Il V-SSFF andrà in onda in diretta streaming sul sito di SSFF su Vimeo, Facebook con implementazioni su Instagram dall’ 8 al 10 maggio 2020

Inoltre V-SSFF offrirà un contributo concreto ad EMERGENCY donando il ricavato della vendita delle più belle foto d’autore degli archivi di SSFF e attivando sul sito WWW.SSFF.IT il link per donazioni dirette ad Emergency.
Qualsiasi donazione, ricavata dalla vendita delle foto ed ogni singola offerte diretta, sarà indirizzata ai fondi per la gestione del nuovo ospedale da campo di Bergamo dove medici, infermieri, fisioterapisti, logisti di EMERGENCY esperti di epidemie e pandemie, gestirà il nuovo reparto di terapia intensiva e sub-intensiva e a tutte le attività legate all'attuale emergenza sanitaria.

Skate and Surf Film Festival, SSFF, is a cinematographic exposition that shines the light on the international surf and skate scene. For 4 years now it aims to inspire the public through sport activities, contests and workshops, promoting culture via previously unreleased films, documentaries, art exhibitions and music.
SSFF has grown from 9000 attendees the first year to 25000 at the last edition. Over the years it has become a reference, a moment of anticipation for the young and not so young, the passionate, the curious and those who work within it.
We have reached our 4th edition and it would have taken place at Base Milano on the 12-13-14 of June 2020. The creator of the festival, Luca Merli, along with the staff decided not to throw in the towel. And thanks also to the integral support of the main sponsor Vans, that continued to believe in the project and gave SSFF the possibility to continue with the new virtual version maintaining the concept and adapting to this difficult and tragic time.
And so, V-SSFF was born. V as in VIRTUAL, because now, more than ever it’s important to be present and together but in a different way. Respecting social distancing, supporting the community, sharing a positive message to hold up and entertain each other during this lockdown. To continue to stay active and keep everyone’s efforts and work thriving, changing not what we create only the way we create it.
V-SSFF will be live streaming on our website www.ssff.it and on facebook and Instagram from the 8th to 10th of May 2020.
With films in premiere available online, interviews with filmmakers, skaters and surfers, Q&A’s, a virtual art show, skate contests from home, radio streaming and much more.
In addition, V-SSFF has decided to contribute to EMERGENCY, donating the profits of the sales of a selection of the most beautiful photos from our SSFF archives. It is active on www.ssff.it with a link that enables donations directly to Emergency.
Every donation from the sales of these photographs as well as any direct donation will go towards funds for the management of the hew hospital in Bergamo where doctors, nurses, physiotherapists of EMERGENCY, experts in epidemics and pandemics will manage the new department of intensive and sub-intensive therapy and all acivities in the current emergency healthcare.
